Travel Plans

Here are a few travel options that you may wish to consider.

BY PLANE
Paris is the closest international airport.

A number of low-cost airlines service this airport from the UK.
1. Bmibaby http://www.bmibaby.com
They fly to Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport from Nottingham East Midlands and London Heathrow.
2. Easyjet http://www.easyjet.com
Easyjet fly to Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport from London Luton Airport. It is not yet possible to book flights in October with Easyjet but the winter timetable is available on their site.
3. British Airways http://www.britishairways.com
BA fly from London Heathrow to Paris, CDG Airport.

To travel from Paris, CDG to Conde-sur-Huisne you could take the train (see travel details for "By Train" below) or hire a car.

Ryanair http://www.ryanair.com/ Ryan Air do not fly to Paris from England but you could fly to Tours in the Loire Valley and drive north for 2 hours to Conde-sur-Huisne.

BY FERRY
There is quite a choice of ferry companies crossing the channel but most fall into one of the two following categories.

1. Cheap and shorter ferry crossing with longer car journey
Speed Ferries http://www.speedferries.com
They make a 1 hour crossing from Dover to Boulougne-sur-Mer. A car journey of 4 hours is required to reach Conde-sur-Husine.
Norfolk Line http://www.norfolkline.com
They make a 1.5 - 2 hour crossing from Dover to Dunkerque. It takes 4.5 hours by car to reach Conde-sur-Husine.

2. Expesnive and longer ferry crossing with shorter car journey
Brittany Ferries http://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk
Brittany sail from Portsmouth to Caen (Ouistreham is the name of the Port) in 6 hours. A 2 hour journey in the car to Conde-sur-Huisne follows.

Eurotunnel allow you to travel with your car and be transported through the channel tunnel from Folkstone to Calais. http://www.eurotunnel.com The tunnel journey lasts only 35 minutes and it is 4 hours drive on to Conde-sur-Huisne from Calais.

BY TRAIN
PARIS to CONDE-SUR-HUISNE
The train from Paris to Conde-sur-Husine leaves from the Gare de Montparnasse station in Paris and tickets can be booked on http://www.sncf.fr/ or can be bought in the station. To reach Montparnasse you can either take the RER train from the airport to the Gare du Nord train station and then the metro to the Gare de Montparnasse station or the Air France shuttle bus from travels from the airport to Montparnasse direct.
LONDON to PARIS
2. If you wish to travel without your car the Eurostar http://www.eurostar.com/ goes to Paris departing from London St Pancras station.

BY CAR
